Our first evening was spent along locust point and we had quite the sky to photograph here. It was moving very quickly and the light kept poking in and out of the canyon. I finally decided to switch from my wide angle lens and put on my 70-200 and get some intimate shots of the light playing between the canyon walls. I thought the title was most appropriate for this image because out of all the amazing landscapes I've visited, the grand canyon is the one place where you can literally see the light play around. Backlighting especially, as it highlights the distant buttes, temples, ridges etc. With the passing showers, the clouds kept breaking apart, and the light just began pouring into the canyon. I never thought that my two favorite images from this trip would be zoomed in shots instead of wide angle views and that they wouldn't have amazing colors of the last light of sunset. This light, was much better (in my eyes).
