This is an older image that I recently processed. This shot was meant to be more of an artistic piece rather than what the scene actually looked like. With that being said, the image from the camera was pretty close to what I am showing you here. Obviously I did a few things to help the colors pop and to give detail to the image and nice contrast. This is a three minute exposure that used light from the moon as well as head lamps to illuminate the mountain. Yes, I said headlamps to illuminate the mountain. The ultimate goal was to do a massive light painting of the jagged peaks. Well, with such a bright moon, the use of the lamps are barely noticeable. I used a custom white balance to get the warm tones higher than normal. If you notice, this was taken the same evening as [link] . The conditions were just too good to experiment with different exposures. I recently submitted a black and white frame from the same evening on my 500px account which you can find here [link] . I liked both versions but decided to post another color version on here. I'd like to hear feedback on the black and white version as well. Anyways, comments, thoughts, and questions are appreciated as always.
