Panamint Sunrise by PeterJCoskun Panamint Sunrise by PeterJCoskun
It's been a while since I posted, been busy shooting, planning, and acquiring new gear. I recently took my first trip of the year to a place I had wanted to spend a little more time at. That area was Death Valley. I made a brief stop there last year and didn't get anything I was really happy with. This time was a different story and the conditions couldn't have worked out any better for this short adventure. The image above was taken at sunrise at Zabriskie point, a very popular area of course. Upon arriving perhaps an hour before there was even any light to shoot, I could tell I would have some special light for a sunrise shot. I made my way up to the overlook area and decided to move away from that area. Glad I did as a gigantic workshop showed up and basically hogged the overlook and an area just beyond. I started to see the clouds turn and the mountains turn and soon enough the sky was full of color. The range of landscapes here was quite impressive. Standing amidst the badlands overlooking the lowest point in North America as towering mountains rise as a backdrop. Not to mention there was snow on the mountains.

Death Valley National Park- California.
