It's been a while since I've had a good sunset. This was the last one I can recall. This is the result of a failure. I was hoping to have these colorful clouds explode above a different rock formation, but that quickly cleared up just before sunset as my luck would have it. Knowing the location, and the blooming wildflowers, I knew there was a comp close by that I could throw together when the light exploded. I quickly settled on this scene here as it had an abundance of color. The brittlebush were blooming nicely and had a variety of cacti in the frame. The two large saguaros seemed to be embracing for a hug, and as the color burst, I could not help but think of how romantic this must have been for the saguaros. I was lucky to share this incredible moment with them, in one of my favorite locations.
Superstition mountains- Arizona.
