An expansive view of the sonoran desert stretches south towards Tucson. This was taken below my new favorite location, the three sisters. The brittlbush up here are looking good, and are likely going to bloom some more with the coming storm this weekend. I'm hoping to get out this coming weekend to photograph some new spots if all goes as planned, or expect to see some familiar areas again.

Expansive is the correct description! I love the "glow" made by the spines of the cholla in the foreground. I wonder why the spines of the saguaro don't make that glow...?
Thanks! Cholla's glow more often because of their spines, they reflect plenty of light between them. Saguaros can glow too, but there needs to be special light for that.
Arizona looks like a beautiful state. Lived in Colorado for 3 years and 4 months and traveled through New Mexico, but never made it as far as Arizona. Looks like I missed out!
