On very few occasions do I go out of my way to shoot any man made objects. This was one of those occasions. I found this old rundown cabin in Flagstaffs backcountry sitting beneath beautiful golden aspens. I have always felt the best way to shoot aspens is when they are backlit. They have this special glow that is just magical to see. I decided to shoot towards the sun as the golden glow of the aspens just made the old cabin dreamlike. I've always been fond of abandoned cabins and ruins, but to see them under this canopy of autumn color was truly spectacular.
