Teddy bear cholla's watch the last light of day. Taken from the opposite direction of the previous image "Encore".

This is what the scene looked a minute before [link] . The difference in colors was mind blowing.

Stacked GND filters, 5 sec exposure.

Mcdowell mountains- Arizona

Nice shot. What was the total stop ratio between top and bottom with all the filters?
Reply
:iconpeterjcoskun:
PeterJCoskun Featured By Owner Aug 1, 2011
The top part of the scene with the sky and mountains was a combined 5 stops of neutral density while the cactus portion was just 2 stops.

Wow! I would NOT want to wald through there! But observing it would be an awesome experience. Not so much as to touching them.

It is very unpredictable walking around them because they like to jump on to you even if you don't touch it. They are fairly easy to remove however as long as they are not that deep into the skin.

You just have to be cautious around them.
